The free plan gives you ten gear items, unlimited kits, basic specs, and a purchase date. GearSync Pro is US$2.99 a month and unlocks unlimited items, the receipt vault, custom spec fields, and warranty or service reminders.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes. GearSync stores your kits and items on the device first, so you can add a drill on a job site or edit a serial in a basement. Changes sync in the background once you are back online.
What counts as a kit?
A kit is any grouping that matches how you store gear: a bag, a van, a bench, a job. Kits are unlimited on every plan. The free limit is on items, not groups.
Can I store receipts on the free plan?
Free accounts can keep one photo per item. Receipts, manuals, and unlimited attachments are GearSync Pro.
What are custom spec fields?
Built-in fields such as voltage, chuck, and wattage are free. Pro lets you add any key/value you need — SKU, thread pitch, firmware version — as a template on the item.
Can I use it on more than one device?
Yes. Sign in on the web, iOS, and Android and your inventory stays in step. GearSync needs a connection to load and save, so it is built for the workshop and the office rather than a basement with no reception.
What happens to my gear if I cancel Pro?
Nothing is deleted. You keep viewing everything you catalogued, and you can export it at any time; you will just need to be back on Pro to add beyond the free limits again.
